'Under
the Starlight' Invitational
to be held on Sunday, September 21 at 6:00 p.m.
Judged by 4 judges, 2 Afghan Hound Breeder Judges and 2
Hound Specialist Judges, who will be introduced that evening.
This show will be held outside under lights. Admission - $20.00
-
will include a light supper and drinks. Ringside seating,
candlelit
tables, exciting judging and a chance to help decide the winner.
All
spectators will receive a ballot to vote for their favorite dog
and the
dog receiving the most ballots will receive a bonus score.
Also,
included will be door prizes and raffles. Please contact

Qualifications for this invitational
were determined
on the following criteria:
From September 2007 through June 30, 2008 - any dog listed in
the Top 20 of any system as published by Canine Chronicle
and/or Dog News.
Any Afghan Hound who has won an American All-Breed
Best in Show, or American Specialty Best in Show during
that same time period.
Past AHCA Breeders' Cup Winners (5 years). Past AHCA
National Specialty Best of Breed Winners, Best in Sweeps
Winners, Best Puppy Winners (5 years).
If your dog qualifies and you have not received your invitation
by Friday, July 25th, please contact Cindy Chandler at

We want to be sure that
every dog who qualifies receives their invitation.
Dogs will be judged by each judge with
a score sheet,
then ranked in order of scoring.
Points will be awarded to the
Top 5 of each judge's scores, with
one dog receiving
bonus points from the spectators.
We look forward to seeing all of you there to cheer for your
favorite.

you bring a 3-ring binder for handouts, a pedigree of a dog you
plan to breed

Camping
and Motor Homes
Motor Homes and Tent campers. There is no overnight camping
at the show
sight. All Overnight camping must be done at the Yogi Bear
Jellystone Park Camp
Resort. The campground is located on the same road only 3
blocks from the show
sight. You may park your motor home in the Hotel Parking lots during
the day,
but they must be removed at night. The Hotel shuttle will
allow dogs on the
shuttles that go’s between the show sight and the Campground.
There is a car
dealer in town that rents cars (Schefer Bierlein 1-800 862-8893)
Please make
your reservations early, Oktoberfest is the week before our show
and the first
couple of days will be hard to get without early reservations. You
may get
information about the campground at

Note: There is a covered bridge at the front entrance to the
Hotel.
DO NOT take your Motor homes over the bridge
it is not tall enough.
